She was doing so well! This week is half term so ed should be home but he has lots to do so is going into work from 9-3 everyday. So at least he is home to see Abigail a bit. Next week I go into hospital so I am making the most of spending time with Abigail.

Update 25/5/06

Hi all,
Well this week what has happened....
Monday after spending all of sunday night with one end on the toilet and the other over the sink and sleeping the rest of the night on the bathroom floor!! Ed stayed home to help look after abigail and manages to get me an appointment with my consultant as he was worried. I was given a course of cipro and some dioralite as i was dehydrated and refused point blank to go into hospital and have IV fluids. I have to go into hospital on the 8th June for a colonoscopy :S (a camera up my bum) to investigate what exactly is going on.
On wednesday I went to clinic to get Abigail weighed and she had lost weight!! 2oz but just before I put her on the scales while I was waiting she had a 5oz bottle so in my thinking that put an extra 5oz on her so it would have been 7oz!! I don't understand it :S But I hope she picks up next week!!
Thursday today I took abigail to town to get her picture taken for the baby of the year competition in the essex chronicle so we'll see how we go I go back on Tuesday to choose which picture to put in.
And in with everything else I have been doing I have been trying to go out walking to train for the hydro active challenge!! I hope you've all sponsered us now!! http://www.justgiving.com/emilysangels
I hope you're all well.

GOSH appt 15/5/06
Abigail had her appt at GOSH this morning - they arn't concerned with her, but are going to keep an eye on her and do some further tests as she is small for her age! But I am releived that there is nothing too serious from the outcome today. She is being closely monitered with her weight etc anyway by our health visitor who weighs her every week! She was 13lb 8oz last wed!!! We will be seen again on 30th June 06
I had my clinic appt last week and all wasn't too bad! I'm being refered to a stomach consultant about my problems there but overall they are pleased with me and we are hoping to reduce my prednisolone some more.
I am also going to run/walk/crawl the Womens Hydro Challenge this year 3rd Sept for the CF trust along with 50+ other angels all dressed up! Should be amusing!! Please sponser us here...

Update 7/04/06
A much nicer update this time!!
Abigail is doing so much better and is all smiles and giggles again. It's nice at the moment as its easter holiday's Ed is home. Our week has been:
Sunday: We came home from hospital and had a nice evening with abigail home and getting her into her routine. Becky and Harry arrived.
Monday: Ed went to france (to get alcohol and to have lunch with his friend) Abigail and I got up and went to the dr's to get a prescription for her new milk (SMA Wysoy).
We spent the rest of the day at home making sure abigail drank lots to keep her hydrated. Ed came home and we ate together.
Tuesday: Ed had to go into work today to do some A level recordings. So we went to Witham to meet daddy and Brian for lunch in the weatherspoons pub as it's non smoking.
Wednesday: Abigail had her X-ray's today so we went to St john's she was very good seen as she had to lay there for 45 mins - mummy and daddy had to wear big lead aprons and mummy thought she was going to fall over as it was SO heavy! We then went to the Chinese Buffet with Grampy steve Great Grandma Margaret, great Grandma Sullivan, Grampy Steve, Harry and Becky - yummy!! Daddy went out in the evening with his friends.
Thursday: Today we got up and went to Hylands Park with the dogs Tilly and Jess for a long walk in the fresh air. Abigail was so much better today we wrapped her up warm and put her in the carrier on daddy and walked for over an hour - it was lovely. Natalie and Harvey came over and we went out to lunch to the harvester - but Abigail wasn't impressed and screamed most of the time - Harvey was a good boy and kept looking to see what all the fuss was about! Then we went to Sainsburys and had the evening at home - when daddy went out to choir.
Friday: Today we got up and went to see Nana Hils as she has been poorly - we think she might have had Abigails Rota virus bug - but she seems alot better. Then mummy and Abigail went to our last massage class we have only been to 4 out of the 6 as abigail has been poorly, but all the mums have decided to meet up again the friday after easter which will be nice to stay in touch as all the babies were born within a month of each other so it's nice to stay in touch. Then daddy picked us up and we went into town to the shops as mummy and daddy had a few bits they needed to do. We are home now for dinner and daddy will go out later to choir rehersal.
As you can see it's been a lovely week and we are looking forward to having another week together next week. I'm so glad to have my little princess feeling better!!

We're home!!

Hi all,
Abigail has been in hospital this week really poorly. She has had this D&V bug and we have found she is intollerant to milk.
She lost alot of weight and got very dehydrated. We came home this evening as she is keeping down her feeds and has stopped loosing weight although we havent put any on! She still has terrible dioreha (spl) so we have to keep her rehydrated.
I hope you are all well.
I'm off to get some sleep as its been a very traumatic week.
Lots of love to all

18-03-2006
Abigail has had the tummy virus that is going around. She got dehydrated and was admitted to hospital - she is home now and not dehydrated but only tolerating clear fluids so she has a new feed called dioralite (spl) which gives her calories and electrolytes (all the sodium and potasium she needs) in a clear fluid.
We are slowly starting to introduce half strength milk ( so made up and then double the normal water) as everytime we started a milk feed she was sick.
She is loosing weight which is worrying, but keeping down the clear feeds which is a plus.
She is sleeping through so we have to wake her to feed her.
Wednesday was just so worrying as she wasn't really responsive and very floppy in my arms.
I am not getting alot of sleep at the moment as i'm worried about her and waking her up to feed her, but we're getting there.
Hope your all well, and we've got the Christening next weekend to look forward to!

Clinic 22/02/2006

Well i've just got back from clinic and Abigial weighs a whopping 9lb 12oz!!!
So she's doing really well!
The health visitor said she should be smiling and cooing by now - which she isn't but im not too worried as she was 4 weeks early so might be a bit slow.
She seems happy and is eating well so im not worried.
Our first family holiday 13-17th Feb 2006

Abigial sound asleep in her pram:
Abigail and daddy cuddling up on the bed:
Mummy and Abigial outside Mauds cafe which sells extreemly yummy icecream!
Daddy and abigial outside our hotel
Abigail on the plane!!:
Mummy and Abigail about to get on the plane:
Here are a few pics of our first holiday! We had a great time, had lots of nice walks and a rest and we went right into dublin to the guiness factory!!I'll post some more pics soon (there are 101) hehe mummy and daddy took lots!!
Its been a while 22/2/06
Abigail is fine - as gorgeous as ever and getting more beautiful by the day.
She is getting so cheeky and wants my attention all the time! She wont feed properly for anyone else which is getting quite tiring. But she loves her mummy!
She is starting to be better at night like last night she was bathed and had her last feed and went down to bed at 10pm then woke at 2.30am fed and went back down at 3am and then woke up at 7.15am - what a good night!! Unfortunatly i've developed a cold so was up most of the night anyway with my chest and kept ed up with my coughing - why is it always the way that when she sleeps well i cant!!!!
She had her first lot of injections yesterday - i nearly cried it was awful, she had to have one in each leg and she screamed so much i had to hold her really tight, she screamed and then held her breath for ages! She had calopl when we got her home and again before bed but she was grumpy all day and was sick twice which is really not like her at all! But she had a good night and is still a little grumpy today but not as bad.
I'm still persevering with expessing and giving abigail my milk in a bottle - which is is thriving on. I have the health visitor this afternoon so will talk about what i should do now ive done the 8 weeks of breast milk.
We have chosen a date for the christening - Sunday 26th March at 2.30pm. I have got Abigails dress which is gorgeous - but still a bit big at the moment - havent found anywhere where sell premie baby christening gowns - madness!
Anyway i think that is all my news, i will update again soon (i promise) and let you know how abigial got on at clinic with the health visitor this afternoon.
Lots of love to all

Health Visitor - 12/01/06
The health visitor came yesterday to see Abigail for her weekly visit. She's doing so so well!
She now weighs 6lb 8 1/2oz!! (up 2oz on her birth weight)
She is now 39cm long (5cm longer than her birth length)
Her head is now 36 1/2cm (1cm bigger than her birth circumference)
She is 3 weeks old today, and as gorgeous as ever. She is feeding really well as you can tell by her weight gain and I am just so proud of her!
I'm doing really well too! Doing great with my weight and really enjoying motherhood! Would like a tiny bit more sleep but can't be fussy! ;)
Hope you are all well.
Lots of love

Mad or totally insane? 06/01/06

Hi all,
A quick post, we are off out for a meal tonight, Me, Ed, Abigail, Mum and Steve and as you can see by the title im wondering if i'm mad or totally insane!! I really hope she is good, i am going to feed her before we go and then hopefully she will sleep in her pram - but as you know things don't always go to plan!!
I've put Abigail in her first dress today as you can see by the pic and even the premie baby size drowns her! But she is sooo cute
We are going to Church after our meal too, as it's the feast of the epiphany today.
I hope you are all well
Lots of love
